What is the Rule of Thirds?
The rule of thirds in photography is a composition technique where the subject is placed off center. Instead of a subject in the middle of the frame, it is placed near one of four intersecting lines, if the frame is divided into thirds. In the photo below, our subject’s eyes are positioned on the upper left third.
