Joyce Edwards led the South Carolina Gamecocks over Southern University on Saturday during the first round of the women’s NCAA basketball tournament in Columbia, SC. With 27 from Edwards, who shot 11-14 from the field, the no. one seeded Gamecocks piled on 103 points against the Jaguars. South Carolina will face Southern California on Monday night at Colonial Life Arena at 8pm. The second round game will be televised on ESPN.

Southern California defeated Clemson in overtime on Saturday to advance to the second round, setting up USC vs. USC on Saturday. Jazzy Davidson led the Trojans with 31 points.
