Harper Street Parade

When the rear end of the Harper Street Bicycle Parade concludes its route along the rolling Newberry side street — and as neighbors gather in front yards, drinking kool-aid, kids climbing in trees, bicycles strewn in front lawns, a fireman hooks his truck up to a hydrant. The kids go nuts. This South Carolina holiday tradition is pure small town Americana.
