For many of the thousands that gathered at Bowman Field Saturday night following a “March for Change” through Clemson — their hands went up when asked if it was their first protest. Organized by Clemson running back Darien Rencher, linebacker Mike Jones Jr., wide receiver Cornell Powell and quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the march took demonstrators about two miles through campus and town, amid a third week of nationwide protests following the killing of George Floyd.

On Friday, Clemson's board of trustees voted to change the name from Calhoun Honors College to Clemson University Honors College. The board has also introduced a resolution to ask the South Carolina Legislature to allow for the renaming of Tillman Hall.
